Hi, I am Alynah Angeles, and for the longest time, I have never been able to sit still. I have always been a curious person, which has led me to a whole lot of different hobbies and personal endeavours. Some of which include: writing, drawing, music/singing, sewing, research in economics and fashion but most importantly, gaming. I grew up with an older brother, and one of the only ways I could bond with him due to our age gap was through video games; this gave me a very early introduction to the scene and I was immediately hooked onto The Sims, GTA, and a plethora of MMORPGs that have fallen into obscurity. I always loved how I could walk around, explore, and liked the idea of experiencing a different world apart from my own. I think that is a value that I still carry with me to this day, and is the reason why I choose to be in this industry.
With all of the early exposure to different forms of media along with my innate curiosity, comes the craving to create something of my own; as I move through the world, the things I see and the experiences I’ve gained throughout my life give me the desire to contribute my personal worldview with those around me and in that same regard, learn from those around me as well. That being said, what better medium than games? I have always believed that games were the ultimate gateway into immersing yourself into another person’s shoes, being able to “play” as an identity completely apart from your own, whilst also being given the agency to reflect your own ideals onto the character.
I truly believe it is the greatest tool for storytelling.
